Remember this shoe?

It's like having a trip down the memory lane if u ask me.  :)
It’s the same type of shoes i wore to school when i was younger; that's how i recall it. Well, almost all of us used to wear bata badminton master. The richer kids had the Pallas velcro shoes, the ‘mat rock’s wore the high cut variety but this is was the standard.

I saw this vintage issue in Melaka couple weeks back and i bought it, for old time's sake. They are 3 types of colors available but i prefer red. You must be wondering what is the other color since we saw the white and the red. Well, it is blue! *wink*.

This is mine..

I can still remember the comfort of wearing this shoe in the old days, and now i wear it almost during every occasion, be it when i jog, hanging out with friends, jamming and you just name it. Hehe... Tp bukan ke bilik air..   :P

The Bata Badminton Master used to cost RM9.99 in the 1980s. School kids were happy to wear these shoes then as they were considered quite fashonable and “pricey”. The poorer kids would go for the Fung Keong shoes which used to cost RM5.**. The rich ones would wear the Bata Tennis (Lawn) Master priced at RM20.** and would be the envy of their classmates!. These prices may seem cheap by today’s standards but remember that in the 80s, a teacher’s pay was only about RM400. Those were the days!
